North Idaho Family Group, Inc. Board of Directors 2026-2027
The North Idaho Family Group, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization in the State of Idaho. As a backbone organization, NIFG promotes healthy families and lifelong learning in the communities of North Idaho by providing vehicles for communication, networking, and collaboration among nonprofits and service providers in Region 1.
Oskar Owens, Executive Director
Oskar Owens is a Cd’A Native graduating from Lake City High School before attending a musical theatre conservatory in New York City. Since his Covid spurred return to Cd’A he has continued to pursue his acting and musical career with leading roles in numerous regional plays as well as local singing appearances and song writing. He has rounded out his employment experience with food service, sales, retail and caddying jobs. He is passionate about helping others, loves people and has experience in managing events. He is looking forward to making the North Idaho Family Group stronger than ever and growing the Family Day in the Park event to a regional mainstay for families to attend the last day of school every year.
Carrie Ward, President
Carrie Ward joined North Idaho Family Group in 2014 and has been a dedicated leader in the Coeur d’Alene community for more than 25 years. She is the proud mother of three adult children, all graduates of the Coeur d’Alene School District.
Carrie has served on the SD271 Long Range Planning Committee, been active with Coeur d’Alene Rotary and Canfield Middle School PTA, and volunteered with organizations including Idaho Youth Ranch’s Wine, Women & Shoes, Ironman Coeur d’Alene, and the Salvation Army Kroc Center.
She attended Texas A&M University and is passionate about supporting families and strengthening the North Idaho community.
Sherri Richardson, Secretary/Treasurer
Sherri is a Public Speaker and trainer on best practices for youth mentoring, job readiness, career guidance, budgeting, living within your means, and executive function to assist in the movement to end multi-generational poverty.
She has also worked as a Supported Employment specialist empowering people with disabilities to achieve their highest vocational goals through Choice, Self Determination and Empowerment including Discovery. Trainer of the Business Partnering model for successful job development. Business Consultant for workplace supports, ADA and addressing fears in hiring, training and promoting persons with disabilities.
Shelly Zollman, Director
Shelly Zollman became the Director of the North Idaho Family Group in 2013. Over the years she has been involved with many community organizations both in a professional and personal capacity. She was a Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce Commodore for 12 years, a member of the marketing committee for St. Vincent de Paul, an Ironman Coeur d’Alene Volunteer, and is active in fundraising for Coeur d’Alene Charter Academy where her children attend.
She is an owner of ZolMedia, a web design company, with her husband, Kevin, and has donated her time to dozens of area nonprofits with their website & marketing including St. Vincent de Paul, Lake City Playhouse, the Dirne Clinic (now Heritage Health), Cancer & Community Charities, the North Idaho Violence Prevention Center, and others.
She and her family relocated from the Seattle area to North Idaho in 2000. Shelly attended the University of Washington.
